CASUAL TELEPHONE COUNSELLOR
Day and Evening shifts Monday - Friday
Parent Line NSW is looking for skilled and qualified counsellors to work in a professional telephone counselling service for parents and carers of children 0 – 18 in NSW. Parent Line is based in CatholicCare’s Neutral Bay office.
The current vacancies are for casual counsellors who have demonstrated skills in counselling parents, working in a team environment as well as good interpersonal skills, a continued learning approach to work and flexibility in working hours.
Counsellor’s duties include providing counselling and support for parents with a wide range of issues over the telephone and administrative work including research, writing tasks and use of an electronic database.
Counsellors must have a university degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent and have at least 3 years experience in working with families in a counselling setting, as well as a willingness to work within the Mission of CatholicCare.
SALARY.
According to SACS award and where applicable includes penalty rates for evening, overnight and weekend work if applicable.
