Volunteer Services Officer (Administration)
Permanent Part Time - 28.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably skilled and experienced person to join the Volunteer Services team located at the St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Campus (comprising St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital and the Sacred Heart Centre).
The role of Volunteer Services Officer (Administration) is responsible for coordinating and managing the day to day administrative functions of the hospital Volunteer Service. Under the guidance of the Campus Volunteer Manager, the Volunteer Service Officer will co-ordinate and implement weekly and fortnightly Volunteer duty rosters, will work to encourage and support volunteers to ensure that they complete their responsibilities within agreed timeframes and will assist with the recruitment and induction of new volunteers to the Volunteer Service.
Essential Criteria
· A willingness to offer service in the spirit of our hospital Mission and Values.
· An understanding and appreciation of the needs of volunteers in a large organisation.
· Demonstrated experience in working in a demanding administrative role.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities, including oral and written communication skills.
· Proven capacity to work proactively with limited supervision.
· Demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork with the ability to motivate self and others.
· Excellent computer skills including ability to use databases.
Desirable Criteria
· Experience in similar role.
· Knowledge of, and commitment to, quality improvement and OH&S principles
