Volunteer Services Officer (Retail and Hospitality)

An invitation is extended to a suitably skilled and experienced person to take on the role of ‘Volunteer Services Officer (Retail and Hospitality) located in the St Vincent’s Hospital ‘Little Shop’.
‘The Little Shop’ has a long history of providing service to the patients, staff and visitors who come to St Vincent’s Hospital. Supported by a dedicated group of volunteers, the shop has been an important part of the community involvement which has supported the Mission and Values of the Hospital.
The ‘Little Shop’ provides a range of products ranging from daily papers to drinks toiletries and small gifts. The shop provides an important service to patients including a trolley service which takes products to the ward areas of the Hospital.
As a member of a dynamic campus wide Volunteer Services team, the person in this role will have responsibility for the coordination and support of our shop volunteers as well as the management of stock, sales and operations of the shop. The successful person will have an appreciation for and a willingness to offer service in the spirit of the Mission and Values of St Vincents Hospital. The person will have retail experience, a demonstrated ability to work effectively leading a group of people, be highly organised and be able to demonstrate a willingness to promote the retail goals of ‘The Little Shop’ with the Mission and Values of St Vincent’s Hospital.
