Catholic Adult Education Centre

 

Catholic Adult Education Centre (CAEC), an agency of the Archdiocese of Sydney, is committed to helping adult Catholics grow in the understanding of their faith so as to integrate their faith and life and be more effective in evangelisation.

 

CAEC is currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Manager of Studies. The Manager of Studies is accountable to the Director, CAEC and will be responsible for all matters relating to the administration of courses of study offered at CAEC: developing and maintaining certificate courses which prepare graduates for active service in the Church, overseeing curriculum and content for courses in adult faith education, lecturing in areas of expertise, and ensuring that requirements for admission to courses and assessment of students are in line with Australian best practice and that the Government and Archdiocesan RTO requirements are maintained.

 

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Theology or in an area that is relevant to the role, relevant experience either in a similar role or in a role encompassing the key responsibilities of this position, demonstrated experience and commitment in passing the Catholic faith on to adults, excellent writing and research skills, experience in dealing with students, an understanding of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Standards, and a demonstrated commitment to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church.
